Mercury Blood Pressure Monitor is one of the most commonly used sphygmomanometers in hospitals and clinics. It is used for measuring the blood pressure of the body to get an idea about cardiovascular functioning and for a routine checkup. This monitor comprises a long glass tube with mercury and has markings up to 300 at intervals of 10 units. It is also provided with a manually operated rubber balloon for raising pressure and a pressure release valve with nut. Mercury Blood Pressure Monitor is used in combination with a stethoscope to monitor "korotkoff" sound for measuring BP. All assemblies of this sphygmomanometer are enclosed in a box for convenient carrying and storage.
